No, onto the second item of business. Help me make sense of this protracted debate over whether or not to swear in Gonzales. I am clearly not smart enough to figure out why Gonzales shouldn't be sweared in for this hearing, when he has sworn in before. Isn't the point of swearing ito clarify to all involved that you are speaking the truth? I am with Leahy, if Gonzales wants to swear in, then why not just do it? What was that whole mess about anyway?
